Overview
The DFK Corporate Finance Special Interest Group brings together member firms with corporate finance expertise to support collaboration across the association. For the Group, corporate finance is defined as advisory services that connect buyers and sellers of mid-sized companies. The Group exists to facilitate cross-border M&A activity, promote a centre of excellence in corporate finance services, and enable member firms to better support clients involved in corporate transactions.
Through regular conference calls and engagement at national, regional, and global DFK conferences, members share market insights, emerging trends, and cross-border opportunities. The Group also provides a structured way for firms without in-house corporate finance capability to access specialist expertise within DFK, helping to retain client relationships and strengthen collaboration across the association.
Meet the Chair
Daniel Shear
The Corporate Finance Special Interest Group has been set up for those involved in M&A (acquisitions and disposals of businesses) to interact. The main aims of the group include finding other parties in overseas territories for members’ clients to transact with on M&A transactions; promoting a centre of excellence of corporate finance services to the wider DFK membership, providing a forum to share thoughts & ideas; and facilitating cross referral of opportunities in the case of conflicts. It is my hope that all DFK members who are involved in M&A will join and become active in the group and that we share lots of opportunities amongst us.
