Overview
The DFK Information Technology Special Interest Group was formed to share best practices in using information technology for small to medium-sized accounting firms across the global membership. The Group meets bimonthly to discuss the latest IT best practices and how best to share these with DFK member firms.
Projects undertaken include regular surveys of member firms’ IT arrangements, enabling the Group to understand and tailor their work to the needs of the membership. A newsletter is also regularly circulated featuring articles written by Group members, keeping firms up to date with developments in technology relevant to the profession.
Meet the Chair
Robin Davis
Technology moves quickly, and not every firm has in-house IT expertise to keep pace – nor should they need to. My aim with this group is simple: to keep members aware of what’s coming and offer practical advice they can actually use. We do this through regular bulletins and open sessions run across most time zones, which often include hands-on demonstrations and real-world applications. Whether your firm has a dedicated IT team or none at all, if you’d like to get more from technology, I’d encourage you to get involved.
